A simple Crazy Charlie and Gotcha style pattern aimed for winter sea run brown trout, but probably equally well suited for bonefish.

Cold saltwater fly
Very easy
- Tie in the thread mid-hook
- Tie down body braid and cover all the way to the hook bend-plus a bit
- Wind thread back to the middle of the hook shank
- Follow by tight turns of body braid
- Tie down braid and cut surplus
- Wind the thread forwards to the middle of the bare piece of shank
- Tie in bead chain eyes on the top of the shank
- Bring thread back to the front of the body
- Tie in orange flash chenille
- Wind thread forwards to right behind the eyes
- Take 2-3 turns of chenille behind the eyes
- Tie chenille down and cut surplus
- Prepare a small bunch of flash. The tips should just touch the hook point.
- Tie in under and in front of the eyes
- Form a large head over the wing butts in front of the eyes
- Varnish
